In our design process we focus on the ability to disassemble the products and materials after ended life cycles. Which materials are used, how they are combined, and how they can be separated into individual parts and recycled.
Each design creates a new challenge and some designs are more suitable for disassembly than others, but the ECO-dimension is always an integral part of our way of thinking.

DESIGNS FOR FLAT PACKING
We have always loved the simple and logic arguments for flat packing.
Since 1989, all our products have been designed for flat packing, which means
minimizing CO2 emissions during transport and storage. We continuously work to
reduce the environmental impact of our activities.
Designing for flat packing means creating a set of parts that easily combine
into a full product. The complexity and number of parts vary from product to
product, but the design strategy allows for easy replacement of components to
prolong product lifetime - whether it is to replace a worn-out part or refresh the
look of the product.
Flat packed furniture is great for access, and in-home assembly means increased value as it eases handling from the store through narrow staircases and hallways to the living room.
We are not CO2 neutral, but we keep working hard to minimize our CO2 footprint.

DETACHABLE, WASHABLE & RENEWABLE
As it offers obvious benefits, a growing part of our collection comes with detachable and washable covers. The sofa is easy to maintain as covers can be machine washed on eco warm.
Upholstery can be replaced if they are worn out, or if you want to freshen up your sofa. Instead of replacing the entire sofa, this will create a significantly smaller impact on the environment.
